Don’t Walk Into The Night

Don't leave me behind, don't walk into the night.

Stay for a minute, hold my hand.

Let me think that you will stay.

Let me believe that I won't be betrayed.

Don't leave me behind, don't walk into the night.

Stop and look me in the eye.

Tell me the truth even if it will tear apart

The very core of my breaking heart.

Don't leave me behind, don't walk into the night.

Look behind you for the very last time.

Turn your head, even if only for a second.

Think of the memories you're about to tread on.

Don't leave me behind, don't walk into the night.

I'm scared to lose you out of my sight.

The fear gripping my very soul

Is paralyzing: it has turned me to stone.

Don't leave me behind, don't walk into the night.

Say my name one last time.

With love or hatred - it doesn't matter,

As long as the sound of it widely scatters.

Don't leave me behind, don't walk into the night.

I’ll turn into a shadow in the moonlight.

I’ll stop existing, I’ll dissolve.

I’ll turn to ashes, I’ll fall.

Don't leave me behind, don't walk into the night.

I'm standing beside you, holding you tight.

I can't let go; my hands are locked,

My soul in turmoil, my mind is blocked.

Don't leave me behind, don't walk into the night.

My prayers are on your left, my pleas - on your right.

Wherever you go, I will follow you there -

A broken shadow saying a silent prayer.
